50g Snowflake Soya Husk Pellets for Shrimp & Bottom Feeders
50g Snowflake Soya Husk Pellets for Shrimp & Bottom Feeders
It is low in sugar and starch and high in fiber, once the pellet has soaked/expanded in the aquarium it will create a snow-like carpet that shrimp and catfish go crazy over.
The expanded pellet also promotes biofilm growth including mycelium (which is nutritious and shrimp find irresistible!).
Shrimp snow does not foul the water, no matter how long it is left in the aquarium, making it the ideal food to feed your aquarium while on vacation or when you know they won't be on a frequent feeding schedule, Even mid and surface swimming fish will come down to eat it if they have no other food and once they get a taste for it they'll be looking for it next time.
Recommended feeding
Suitable as a staple for tropical bottom-feeders and Shrimp. Staple foods are designed to form the healthy base of a balanced diet, comprising approximately 60-70% of total metabolizable energy (ME) as feed, you should also use other shrimp food to provide variation and a balanced diet.
Generally, a 1.5 cm pellet of Shrimp Snow will feed 20-30 shrimp for 2 days Increase serving size accordingly (taking into account the number of shrimp, tank biofilm available, and length between the next feeding) Simply place the pellet in the aquarium where it will immediately sink and expand once it reaches the bottom of the aquarium Shrimp snow can be left in the tank until complete consumption (overfeeding is not an issue here!) Should be fed alongside a balanced diet comprising of animal/plant protein and mineral additives.
If you have coarse gravel on the bottom or aqua soil, you can use a food dish in your tank if you need to prevent food particles falling between the cracks in the substrate.
